As you know I have been trying to eliminate all the unnatural chemicals that my family consumes on a regular basis. One of the easy things I thought I could change would be using aluminum free deodorant. I have not made my children change deodorants yet because I wanted to make sure I found one that was effective and easy to use. I think I have finally found one.
Below is my honest review of three different aluminum free deodorants I tried.

1. Brandless: This was the first one I tried because it was cheap ($4.00) and I had really good luck with their flouride free mouthwash. The texture of this product was very gooey. It would glob up when I tried to put it on and I could feel it in my armpits. It didn’t irritate my skin, but it just felt weird on my skin. I went through a bottle of this deodorant in less than a month. I guess you get what you pay for. I will not likely use this product again, but in a pinch if you want to start off cheap, not a terrible option.

2. Tom’s: I didn’t like this product at all. It comes in a clear gel like substance. It smelled like a man’s deodorant and it went on like one too. When I put it on my underarms it stung immediately. Not to the extent where I had to wash it off, but it was uncomfortable for a few minutes. I did end up developing a rash in my arm pits and I had to stop using it. I only used this deodorant for a a week or so. I was not impressed and I will never use this product again.
3. Schmidt’s Charcoal and Magnesium: This is definitely the winner in my opinion. I have been using this for about a month now and I love it! It goes on smooth, it smells great and I have not developed a rash. It is all natural and I don’t even know it is is on once I apply it. It is not sticky or lumpy. It has been lasting as well as my old deodorant. I am truly impressed with this product and I will continue to use it.
***You can purchase Schmidt’s from their online store for $9.99, but I bought it at Rite Aide for like $6.99. However, I found it at target for $4.69.
