5 Cheap Crafts to Do While Babysitting

1. Alphabet Rocket

This is a fun and inexpensive project  All you need is scissors, glue and construction paper.  You could add fun stickers if you wanted to. They can spell things like mom, dad, their name or other fun words.

2. Love Hand Print Sign

This is a great idea for Valentine’s Day.  You can have the child make it while their parents are out on a date.  Just some paint and paper.  This can be a little messy so make sure you lay some newspaper down and clean the child immediately after.

3. Caterpillars

You make these out of paper plates, paint, staples, and construction paper.  These are so cute and the child can make them any color they want.  Not as messy as the previous idea, which is a plus.  The kids will love to be creative with all the different colors.

4. Dinosaur Feet

This one will require a couple of tissue boxes for each child participating in the craft, plan accordingly.  It is a great idea for any child that is obsessed with dinosaurs. You could even pair it with a dinosaur movie (like the Land Before Time series).  You only need glue and paper (buy big packs and you will have it for a while)

5.  Rock Painting

All you need to do is find some rocks, get some paint and have some fun.
